Drama Auditions - Mrs. MacMillan And now ... the announcement from Mrs. MacMillan that we've all been waiting for -- are you ready to rock out to the classics of the 1980's, including hits from Bon Jovi, Journey, and Pat Benatar? Then hold onto your jean jackets and big rocker hair, folks -- AV’s 2018 musical is none other than the Broadway hit, Rock of Ages.

Auditions will take place afterschool on Tuesday, November 28th and Wednesday, November 29th. The sign-up sheets are posted now outside room 104. You can only sign up for an audition time until next Tuesday, so don’t delay.

Don’t want to be in the show but still want to be involved? There will be an information session held in early December for anyone interested in stage management and crew roles. Please sign up on the CREW sheet outside of room 104. If you want to be a part of AV’s next exciting show then make sure you sign up today!

Winter Clothing Drive - Mr. O'Hara All students and staff at Avon View are encouraged to join with the Model UN and Debate clubs in donating gently used or new winter clothing items for children in need. For some families right here in Nova Scotia, poverty and the lack of items most of us take for granted is preventing children from being able to walk to school or wait for the busses during the colder months. By donating clothing items (of any type, for any season, for any size or age) we can help ease the burden on families and help ensure children get a better education. If you wish to help out and have clothes you'd like to donate, please bring them to room 219 in the upper west wing. This drive will run until December 1st. Thank you.
